It’s hard to believe that we’re at the end of another year!
And it’s a reminder for us in Australia that summer is about to hit. Good old Christmas in the heat. But it is the sign that we’re going to be seeing endless hours of cricket and then tennis.
It’s also a sign that the weather is going to be perfect to fire up the BBQ, get to the beach or enjoy a few days at a local lake. It also means all those clothes will be exchanged with bikinis and boardshorts!
Summer is definitely Yuka’s season. She loves it hot! While for Axel, winter and spring are the preferred times of the year. He loves it cold so he can heat up for that hot spicy fun.
But fall is a great time of year in Australia.
We don’t have the changing colors or the dump of dead leaves but we get nice days and evenings that get colder as winter approaches. There are a bunch of great events that we enjoy going to that happen during fall.
But spring is pretty awesome and in my humble opinion the best time of year.
The days get longer, and they tend to be sunny and warm with cool evenings. There’s the blooming of just about every plant around. And there are a lot more birds about. It’s a perfect time of year to sit in the local park and enjoy the sun. The only downside is that it tends to be super windy, like freaky super windy.
