What’s your idea of a great date night with your significant other?
For us a great date night is any time we can get to just focus on each other. Sometimes we get dressed up and head off to a fancy restaurant. And other times, we’ll just decide it’s date night and go out to our local Vietnamese restaurant.
Then there are those occasions where we are doing it to make sure we have spent time together.
Life is hectic, especially with the sort of year we have. It’s already feeling chaotic but the good kind.
So when we were walking past McDonald’s we decided to stop in and call it our date night. And that’s what we did. We sat down and ordered from our seats, had our burgers and fries delivered to us and had a good time.
It reminded both of us of being teenagers and thinking going to Maccas was the best thing since pre-mix drinks. Although our level of excitement wasn’t quite as high and I was told off for trying to cop a cheeky feel.
It wasn’t the most perfect date night but it was fun.
We got time to ourselves, we chatted and focused on us. We chatted and ended up hanging around getting a few refills. It was a bit of shock to discover we had been there nearly 3 hours but it was pretty great we got that time for us and didn’t spend it clock watching.
It wasn’t glamorous but it was still pretty awesome.
